You will be part of a culture that values excellence, diversity, and inclusion while making a tangible difference in the lives of others.What's in it for you?Full-time, permanent position, which offers a clear career trajectory.Super central Sydney CBD location with easy access to public transport, cafes, and restaurants.Work two core days in the office, with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining three days each week.Attractive salary package of $120,000 + super.Join a supportive, close-knit team culture that fosters collaboration, social events, and welcomes new ideas.Work closely with the Head of People and Culture and gain insights from HR experts.Access to training and progression opportunities, providing clear pathways for growth within your HR career.Travel opportunities - engage directly with key stakeholders and communities across NSW and ACT.Take the lead on HR projects and contribute to process improvements across HR functions and frameworks.Enjoy "free" annual leave and personal days to recharge, supporting your work-life balance.The role:Assist in the creation and review of job positions, offering advice on employment conditions and crafting detailed job descriptions.Provide guidance on efficient and professional onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive employee experience.Proactively identify opportunities to enhance HR processes, including documenting and communicating new policies and procedures, and streamlining workflows where applicable.Advise on the application of Modern Awards across varied workplace environments, ensuring clarity and compliance to prevent industrial disputes.Offer advice on a broad range of HR areas, including remuneration and benefits, communications, change management, employee relations, learning and development, and recruitment.Provide recommendations on organisational policies and procedures, advising on best practices where formal policies may be lacking.Manage or support HR projects, ensuring they meet budgetary and timeline requirements while delivering successful outcomes.Draft and issue employment contracts, offer letters, and other essential documentation for employees and hiring managers.Partner with the Work Health and Safety Manager to provide guidance on WHS cases, ensuring compliance and support for all parties involved.Work with internal stakeholders to address and resolve employee relations issues, including performance concerns, complaints, and grievances, escalating matters as needed.Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to support and contribute to various HR initiatives and responsibilities as required.The ideal candidate:Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field, or relevant experience.Significant previous experience in a generalist HR and/or ER advisory role.A comprehensive understanding of Modern Awards.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders, clients, volunteers, staff and management.Strong resilience and the ability to navigate complex situations with composure and clarity.A genuine eagerness to embrace challenges as they emerge, with a flexible approach to supporting the achievement of key objectives.A high level of maturity and ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information.If you're passionate about community service and ready to take the next step in your HR career, apply today.Reference number: 11679Profession:Company: MAYDAY RecruitmentDate posted: 29th Nov, 2024
