Our client is a well established healthcare provider based inner city. The organization provide much needed and often critical healthcare support to a significant number of Queenslanders and their families. Due to anticipated future growth plans, they seek to hire a savvy, experienced HR Advisor to work in a close knit team and provide a range of generalist and specialist support, with a key focus on employees.
Reporting to the GM of People and Performance, this role will work across all areas of operations and assist internal managers to build their HR/ER knowledge of HR and support across the entire employee lifecycle ranging from recruitment, onboarding and award interpretation through to performance management . One day you may be developing position descriptions, running interviews and drafting employment contracts, and the next supporting Line Managers with investigations, ensuring job classifications, remuneration and WHS are fully compliance with Fair Work and relevant awards.
As in most roles, there are some HR administrative tasks including maintaining records, complying with statutory requirements, updating policies and procedures and providing management with People data and reporting. There is also the opportunity to advise, interpret HR legislation ( including SCHADS award) and be a trusted advisor to managers and assist them to manage performance issues, investigations, disputes, disciplinary actions and other employee related challenges as they arise.
For the right HR professional, this role offers autonomy to project manage your own busy workload plus support the GM of People with a range of HR related projects, initiatives and improvements. Success requires a sense of humour, a positive, proactive attitude, strong time management, organizational and problem solving skills and the ability to build trusting relationships on all levels.
