Our client, one of Victoria's most respected privately owned agribusinesses, grows, packs and distributes fresh produce and value-added products for both Australian and International markets.
The company has multiple farming operations in the Gippsland area, and has a strong mandate for continued growth.
To assist in the delivery of this vision, they are seeking the services of a dedicated and committed individual in the role of Human Resource Manager to manage the design and delivery of best practice initiatives across the operation.

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for leading and developing all aspects of people and culture within the organisation.
The successful candidate will support the rollout of the company's new HRIS system, as well as the development and implementation of appropriate learning systems to upskill all members of the team to ensure their capability to support the delivery of the vision for the company.
In addition, the incumbent will manage all aspects of the company's Workplace Health and Safety function, and work closely with farming and production teams to ensure WHS best practice is embedded into the company culture.

The Role: People and Culture: Manage all aspects of both the strategic and day-to-day human resource function; Work with the leadership team to prioritise the rollout of change initiatives; Work closely with Finance and IT to roll out the new HRIS system; Manage the design and delivery of end-to-end Learning and Development systems and processes across all sites; Review existing performance management systems to ensure 'fit-for-purpose'; Support operational managers in the preparation and delivery of performance appraisals; Review existing HR Policies and Procedures to ensure currency and best practice; Identify training needs through consultation with stakeholders; Evaluate individual performance to ensure training is meeting business and departmental needs and improving performance; Develop and oversee delivery of training solutions; Assist in guiding and coaching leaders through training and educational initiatives.
Safety: Be an ambassador for the company's policies and procedures around Occupational Health and Safety requirements; Identify potential hazards and work together with necessary departments to reduce risks; Take an active training/safety-focused role in meetings at all levels, including toolbox meetings that are run across the business; Manage the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health, safety and wellbeing strategies, policies, and initiatives across the organisation; Stay up to date with current WHS legislation, ensuring the company is compliant with the OHS Act 2004 and relevant legislation; Other: Develop and maintain an operational "Risk Matrix" as a business training and decision-making tool; Complete all onboarding and inductions for new workers; Be the champion of the HRIS Platform.
The Person: Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field essential; Demonstrated success in an HR generalist role; Experience with WHS Inspectors, return to work coordination; Experience with Union liaison officials and workplace right of entry; Experience with creating and developing workplace learning opportunities, internally and externally.
Attributes: Ideally a minimum of 3 years experience in an HR role, with exposure to agribusiness highly desirable; Track record of success in designing and implementing safety and L&D systems to support operational requirements; Hands-on knowledge and experience with online Human Resource Management systems, with exposure to Employment Hero an advantage; High attention to detail.
