Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment)Full timeThe Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) is a multibillion project starting in 2023 with an estimated full train sets manufacturing and delivery by the end 2031. The project includes the design, construction and commissioning of: a new manufacturing facility in Torbanlea, 65 EMU train sets (390 cars) and a new maintenance facility in Ormeau in Queensland. The new train sets will be manufactured, tested and delivered from Torbanlea Manufacturing Facility.Job PurposeTechnical support of the Project Engineer, Korean Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Local Engineering Team in developing the passenger cars' interiors design and submission of the design packages to the customer and other stakeholders as per project design delivery schedule.Ensure that the technical requirements and full compliance for each design milestone have been clearly understood in order to identify and prioritize design deliverables and verification activities.Establish clear lines of communication and promote regular exchanges with the Korean SME, engineering team, customer representatives and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and expedite required design deliverables for project progression in line with delivery schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesManagement of Human Factors issues, workshops, stakeholder expectations and derived design requirements.Application of industry standards, good practice guidance and industrial ergonomic design.Develop design analysis documentation to assure the best design integration with human factor requirements.Prepare and issue design instructions for local and overseas projects to implement the best practices of human factors ergonomics and industrial design.Detail analysis of the technical specifications, standards, human factors and stakeholder's requirements at each project stage to assure that the design meets the compliance obligations.Maintain a clear and regular communication with the Korean SME related to design progress, technical and stakeholders enquiries and issues.Review and endorse with SME of the Crew Cab and Passenger Compartments Interiors design to ensure:Compliance with specifications and related standardsIntegration with crew and passenger human factors requirementsInstalled equipment ergonomic requirements implementationUtilised materials compliance with fire and toxicity requirementsUser groups feedback inclusion and required design changesDesign interfaces with other train subsystems, network and facilitiesTechnical evidence for verification and validation activitiesProposed test methods, instructions and reports to meet all users' actual needsManufacturability and maintainability requirements integrationReliability and safety reports and calculations to assure the allocated targets are metSupport the development of: safety cases, human factors analysis and train operational model.Support the Mock Up development in line with the design progress.Preparation of technical presentations to customers and external stakeholders.Preparation of technical reports to support evidence of compliance with technical and safety requirements.Qualifications and Experience RequirementsQualification/s in Human Factors and Ergonomics, Human Factors Engineering or Industrial DesignMinimum 7 years of practical experience as a Human Factors Specialist or related discipline with Human Factors including industrial ergonomic designExperience writing reports for Human Factor stakeholder engagement workshops such as Train Crew Cab Design, Passenger Area in the Train (including passenger seats), and DSAPT (Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport)Knowledge and experience with disability laws and standards in AustraliaExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels as well as international customer representativesExperience in rolling stock or transport industryYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Human Factors Specialist?What's your expected annual base salary?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?
