This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.
The Role Hudson has partnered with a federal government agency looking for an experienced EL 1 Employee Relations/Work, Health and Safety Specialist to work within the HR Team to develop HR policies, procedures and frameworks, and to assist with case management.

Duties ER/WHS Policy and Framework Development Under limited direction, you will contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of health and wellbeing frameworks that support employee physical and mental health. Establish processes and templates to enable clear management of early intervention and compensation and non-compensation cases.
You will also focus on refining the employee relations framework, undertaking a detailed review of ER policies and developing templates, proformas and SOPs for the management of the range of employee relations matters including performance management, bullying and review of action processes.
ER/WHS Case Management Under limited direction, you will also contribute to the WHS and ER case management workload, working with members of the broader HR team to provide clear advice and guidance to supervisors and managers on the management of staff-related matters.
Required Skills and Knowledge A strong understanding of applicable APS employment parameters, WHS and compensation legislation, standards and Codes of Practice, and extensive knowledge of the Comcare rehabilitation and compensation scheme. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing ER, and work health and safety, policies and procedures and early intervention frameworks. The ability to provide compelling complex advice and guidance regarding WHS and rehabilitation, working within the APS, and Comcare's legislative and policy frameworks.
