About the role Are you passionate about making a real difference for Aboriginal individuals and families? Join our team at the Orange Door Hub, where you'll provide immediate, compassionate support and complete assessments to address urgent needs.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help deliver culturally safe, short-term support to Aboriginal women, children, men, and families. You'll also connect clients with specialist services for ongoing care.

About You As a Hub Practitioner at the NEMA Orange Door Hub, you will provide short-term case management and crisis response to Aboriginal clients, ensuring culturally respectful and effective support. You will manage intake processes, conduct assessments (MARAM), and create tailored care plans, including outreach where necessary. In this role, you'll maintain accurate case notes, reports, and client files, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements while upholding cultural safety and promoting self-determination for Aboriginal people. You'll also collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, actively engage in reflective discussions, and continuously improve practices through learning and supervision.
Requirements: A degree in social work (or equivalent) or willingness to work toward the qualification in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications policy or significant lived experience relevant to the work. Minimum two years' experience in Family Violence sector. Where a degree is commenced but not completed, salary will be fixed at Award Level 4 until successful completion. Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain), and a Victorian Driver Licence.
