The opportunity We're recruiting for a HSW Specialist to join a prominent, national healthcare organisation who are applying innovation to everything they do.
The position is a standalone role providing pure safety and wellbeing across 2 neighbouring sites.
Key responsibilities will include; Build capability and enhance accountability for safety amongst managers, supervisors, HSC members through coaching and influencing to implement and embed the HSW Management System and programs.Display and promote HSW practices through active field-based leadership and engagement.Drive safe systems of work, quality incident investigations and the delivery of visible and felt leadership through the implementation of education, coaching and monitoring programs.Consult with managers, supervisors, HSC, contractors and third parties on brownfield and operational safety issues and provide advice and assistance in identifying opportunities and solutions that enhance HSW outcomes.Participate and contribute to risk management activities including facilitating risk and workplace assessments, contributing to the development of SOPs, conducting control verification, participating in assurance activities, and leading LTI investigations.Conduct performance monitoring activities such as preparation of site HSW reports.
Develop, implement, and monitor gap closure plans in consultation with Site Executive Team.Monitor and review Site HSW performance with Site Executive Team to identify and act on trends, hotspots and celebrate success.Participate in regulator inspections pertaining to HSW.Participate and contribute to State and National delivery of strategic programs and initiatives, forums, and advisory committees to drive HSW improvements.Why Healthscope? This position will suit an energetic, collegiate, and contemporary health and safety generalist who can effortlessly influence at the senior leadership table AND make things practical for frontline workers.
A minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or higher with at least 5 years safety experience.
