Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a critical and visible role providing leadership and team management, and contributing as a key member of the wider team of corporate leaders on all matters relating to Health and Safety, Quality Management and Environmental Management. The successful appointment will lead HSQE operations in a manner that supports the strategic intent of the business and key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with legislation, business policies and procedures, and ensuring emergency/crisis preparedness.
About the Role Develop and continuously improve integrated management systems across all aspects of HSQE. Determine, advise on, manage and maintain appropriate HSQE certifications, accreditations and pre-qualifications. Ensure compliance across all applicable legislation; assess and manage risk across all areas of HSQE. Provide thought leadership in the safety and quality culture at PDP. Develop and implement crisis management and business continuity framework from a HSQE perspective. Lead, guide and motivate the HSQE team for high performance. Work collaboratively with other leaders as part of our "one team" culture. Have influence over the direction of the business and have the potential for shareholding. What You'll Bring Degree qualified with a relevant qualification in occupational health and safety from a well-recognised tertiary education provider. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a QHSE leadership role. Strong working knowledge in HSQE management systems such as ISO certification in Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 45001), Environmental (ISO 14001) and Quality (ISO 9001). Proven leadership skills; a collegiate, team-player attitude. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience in a professional consultancy will be an advantage.
