The HSEQ Team provides technical and specialist support to the Ampcontrol Business Units to continuously improve Health, Safety, Environment & Quality performance Within this department we have an opportunity for a HSEQ Trainee. The Trainee role is a two (2) year supported, practical, hand on program, which provides on the job training to bridge the theoretical HSEQ qualifications to practical industry experience and application.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
This position will be involved in a cross section of HSEQ responsibilities in our diverse and innovative engineering organization.The two (2) year program includes training and support in Corporate followed by rotations to different Ampcontrol Business Units as part of the supported, practical, hands on training.As part of a friendly and professional team, your role will specifically involve:
Supporting the implementation of HSEQ projectsEngaging for small group improvement projectsParticipating in HSEQ investigations and identifying root cause issuesDeveloping appropriate corrective action plansMaintaining HSEQ databasesAssisting in the review of systems, andAssisting with HSEQ auditsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
In order to undertake and succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a range of essential skills and behaviours. As an entry level position, it is not essential that you have experience in HSEQ systems; though it is preferred.
Essential criteria:
Passionate and committed to improving HSEQEither recently completed, currently undertaken, or keen to commence tertiary HSEQ qualificationsi.e. Cert IV OHSCompetency in Microsoft ApplicationsCurrent Driver's LicenseStrong interpersonal communication skillsPositive attitude and willingness to learnExcellent time management skillsFocus on service deliveryDesirable Criteria:
Experience in HSEQ systems and managementExperience working with a manufacturing / industrial environmentQualifications or experience in assisting incident investigationHSEQ consultation and or HSEQ committee experienceWHY AMPCONTROL?
