The company has earned a strong reputation for excellence in the civil engineering sector, and we are seeking a dedicated WHS Systems Coordinator.
As the WHS Systems Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Systems & Construction Support Manager in the development, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of the Company Management System (including Quality, Safety, and Environmental aspects).
You will ensure the system's compliance with current legislation, regulations, and industry standards, while also contributing to the overall safety culture of the company.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong knowledge and experience in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Environmental Management, particularly within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development and maintenance of the Company Management System, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the system to meet legislative and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with various teams to ensure adherence to Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Environmental regulations.
Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance across multiple project sites.
Provide guidance and training to staff on OHS and Environmental practices, ensuring effective communication of procedures and policies.
Organise and deliver safety and environmental training programs for employees and subcontractors.
Maintain records and documentation related to safety and environmental management, including audits and inspections.
Manage system updates, ensuring all documentation is current, relevant, and accessible.
Contribute to the preparation of reports for senior management and external stakeholders as needed.
Skills and Experience: Formal qualifications in Environmental Science / Management are essential.
Previous experience or tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety are required.
A Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training is essential.
Senior First Aid certification and an OH&S Induction Card are desirable.
Demonstrated experience in applying OHS and Environmental legislation and regulations within the construction industry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
A current and valid NSW driver's license is required.
