Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment) Full time An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HSEQ & Systems Adviser. This role will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the TDG HSEQ management system across business units to ensure Operations deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable services profitably. This role will also lead the evolution of the HSEQ systems to ensure business operations are supported by efficient fit for purpose IT.
You will be directly responsible for providing first and second-line technical support to GMs and Operations Managers, and for helping other personnel fulfil their HSEQ obligations regarding risk, systems, and compliance.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that the HSEQ IT platform is optimised to ensure effective HSEQ governance, with a focus on end users, efficiency, and integration with other supporting or enabling systems.
Your new role: HSEQ Planning & Improvement: Contribute to consultation and development of the Group HSEQW Plan, including analysis of performance and trends. Compliance 2nd Line of Defence Licensed Sites: Conduct six monthly site inspections, monitor daily and routine licence compliance, support shut-downs and major projects. Training & Development: Plan and develop local content, toolbox programs, inductions, systems, tools and IT. Reporting & Analysis: Track the effectiveness and closure of corrective actions. Risk Management: Manage the implementation Group Risk Protocols, SWMS/SOP and plans. Workers Compensation: Manage the start-to-end process of injuries and claims. Fleet Safety: Monitor safety in workshops, conduct Plant Risk Assessments as required, assist review of fleet builds and configuration. Field Support: Conduct regular field audits and interactions, coach leaders in interactions and audits. Systems Configuration & Optimisation: Define and implement the improved HSEQ IT system on behalf of operations to optimise HSEQ IT for the businesses needs. Various Project Management: Initiate and drive the IT change program and manage the business-to-business relationships with the IT providers. Your skills and experience: Cert IV Trainer Assessor desired, but not essential. Internal Auditor desired, but not essential. Advanced Incident Investigation desired, but not essential. Prior industry or related industry experience highly desired. Certification and systems management. Return to work and claims management. Proven experience managing or administering comparable systems. Advanced use of Microsoft Suite. Influencing and engaging with stakeholders internal and external. Public speaking in small group settings formal and informal. Complex document writing. Advanced systems thinking and ability to configure and deploy IT systems. Effective project management. Cert IV WHS within 18 months if not qualified. RTW Coordinator within 18 months if not qualified.
