Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment) WPC is a leading valve and actuation supplier to the Australian Industrial markets, including Oil and Gas, Mineral Processing, Petrochemical, Water & Waste Water, Chemical and Power, based in both Western Australia and Victoria. This is an opportunity for someone wanting to manage HSE&Q for WPC nationally.
About the Role: Reporting to the Managing Director, and based in our national head office in Canning Vale, the HSEQ Manager is a great opportunity to lead the company's commitment to health and safety, protection of the environment and quality of works. You will ensure contemporary company policies and procedures translate to workplace practices throughout our workforce that enables our people to go home safely each night.
You will also maintain the company's HSEQ ISO certifications.
Key Duties Will Include: Support the leadership team to maintain a culture where safety is #1Ensure our workforce is aware of and capable of following our health and safety proceduresWork with operational team members to evolve our processes to achieve HSEQ best practices or to plan for new projectsCombine with the HR Manager to ensure our workforce holds appropriate qualifications and is inducted to meet company and client requirementsPrepare and hold toolbox talks and facilitate other communication and consultationAssist in maintaining company ISO certificationsClient engagement and internal and, where required, external reporting.This position has a HSEQ Coordinator directly reporting to it, supporting the HSEQ needs of the business. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in end-to-end HSEQ management.
Minimum Requirements: Experience in a standalone HSEQ roleExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programsExperience in working with ISO and occupational health and safety management systemsTertiary qualifications in OHS and internal auditingExperience with myosh is desirableHighly organised with a willingness to learn and progressThis role offers competitive remuneration, flexible work arrangements, and expenses paid travel to other sites.
