About the Role As the HSEQ Manager, you will lead our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) team, ensuring the implementation and maintenance of robust frameworks across the organisation. This leadership role will see you driving compliance, promoting a safety-first culture, and fostering continuous improvement. Acting as a key advisor to the Director and senior leaders, you will enable adherence to statutory WHS obligations and quality standards, ensuring alignment with our Integrated Management System (IMS).

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Compliance Oversee the HSEQ team and provide corporate and operational support to ensure adherence to statutory obligations and quality standards.Monitor legislative, standard, and code changes, communicating impacts to stakeholders.Lead ISO and FSC certifications and audits to maintain compliance.Framework Development & Implementation Manage the Integrated Management System (IMS) documentation, ensuring continuous improvement.Develop, review, and implement OHS programs, policies, and risk assessments to ensure legal compliance.Assist managers in hazard identification, risk assessments, and control procedures.Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register.Audits & Investigations Conduct periodic internal IMS audits, identifying findings and recommending preventive and corrective actions.Lead external audit engagements and annual ISO certification surveillance audits.Investigate incidents and non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures.Training & Support Deliver risk-based training programs across the organisation.Provide guidance and support to staff and subcontractors on IMS compliance and OHSE obligations.Assist in planning and executing organisational OHS initiatives.Rehabilitation & Return to Work Manage rehabilitation and return-to-work obligations, ensuring compliance with Queensland Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation legislation.Develop suitable duties for injured or ill workers, providing recommendations to the Director.Why Join DEMEX?
