POSITION OBJECTIVES: If you have experience working in a collaborative team environment in construction and/or quarrying; and qualifications in Safety (mandatory), Quality and Environment (would be good but not mandatory) apply here now.
This position will provide both on-site and administrative assistance to our General Manager, Fleet Manager, Civil Project Supervisors and Quarry Supervisors within the fields of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality. An average day may involve:
facilitating safety audits at civil and quarry sitesassisting with traffic management plan development and auditingfacilitating project risk assessments and developing SWMS, SOPs and other safety documentationproviding advice and support on safety, quality and environmental mattersliaising with, and reporting to, regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with permits (i.e. WorkSafe, EPA, MRT etc) for civil and quarry operationsdriving the company Integrated Management System including ongoing improvements and auditingmanaging environmental compliancestakeholder management on various projectsYou will join a supportive team; enjoy working for a family business that knows what is most important; and choose whether to take advantage of development opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate internal and third-party auditsMonitor and report compliance with safe systems of work, procedures and processesAssist with incident reporting and investigationsReport on project compliance with HSEQ outputs and outcomesCoordinate the company's ISO accreditation and facilitate audits with external parties as required.Assist with coordinating quarry quality systems: material sampling; analysis; and consultation with testing authorities and other regulatory bodiesCoordinate compliance with Quarry tenements including licences, reporting and lease conditionsBuild collaborative relationships and provide dependable adviceMonitor implementation of Toolbox Talks, Take-5s, weekly site inspections and task observation and facilitate HSEQ forums, training and workshopsPresent high quality written reportsPOSITION SPECIFIC ATTRIBUTES: Ability to gain respect within a team environmentAbility to multi-task when time constraints are a critical factorStrong ethics and a reputation for supporting peopleHigh personal standards of productivity and performance, with a focus on attention to detailHigh level of skill in using spreadsheets and registers to record information and update for compliance, inspections and testingAbility to play an active role in recruitment/inductionExperience with implementing a range of fit for purpose methodologies to support the monitoring and completion of corrective, preventative and improvement actions by the businessValid driver's licenceAs an equal opportunity employer we are committed to supporting an inclusive culture that encourages, embraces and values diversity in our workforce.
