Key responsibilities for this role would include but is not limited to:
Assist with development and facilitation of consultation, communication and delivery of HSEQ improvement programs and initiatives.
Provide operational support, coaching and advice on all aspects of HSEQ.
Support the Coogee online reporting, action management and training systems, electronic communication systems and provide coordination for system performance and improvement initiatives.
Develop and deliver competency-based training packages; both face to face and electronic.
Undertake audits of HSEQ systems and practices.
Assist in establishing and maintaining a high standard of accuracy, relevance and appearance of HSEQ documents, reports, and electronic communications.
Coordinate Coogee HSEQ data collection and reporting processes.
Assist with compliance to workplace health and safety legislation, company policies and procedures.
Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Manager / Supervisor within your applicable skills, knowledge and abilities.
The successful candidate
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has:
Minimum Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or other relevant qualification.
Relevant WHS or trades experience will also be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
A hands on approach to workplace safety and environment.
Passionate about listening, learning, and assisting the workforce to create a safer workplace.
High level communication skills - both written and verbal, and recognises the essential role of every employee, subcontractor, and site leader in delivering a safe workplace.
The ability and confidence, to present training and toolbox meetings to a variety of audiences.
A results driven approach, and the ability to work under pressure while prioritising multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
