About the roleAs a passionate HSEQ professional with experience in civil construction, you will be the safety expert for a defined region and drive the culture by providing advice, coaching and support to all relevant stakeholders. In addition, you will be:
Contributing to design /delivery of HSEQ strategy and execution, moving the organisation towards recognised best practiceDevelop, implement and monitor processes and programs to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all workersActively promote, coach and be a recognised champion of workplace safety to employees, sub-contractors, and visitorsContribute to maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure that all elements of the system are applicable, functional, and compliant with OFSC, Client, and Regulatory requirements (where relevant) and up to dateAssist with the start-up of new projects including the development of project risk assessmentsReview, update and support the implementation of SWMS, EMPS etc.Conduct health and safety audits and inspectionsLead/ conduct incident investigationsAbout you:Diploma in WHS or equivalent preferredThree years' safety experience in a stand-alone roleExperience within the civil construction industryDemonstrated understanding and interpretation of Occupational Health and Safety legislationStrong understanding of AS/NZS ISO 45001, AS/NZS ISO 9001 and AS/NZS 14001Self-motivated and can demonstrate initiativeExcellent engagement, problem solving, negotiation and leadership skillsDemonstrated experience leading incident investigations and reportingExposure to working within a Federal Safety Accredited business, will be highly regardedOn OfferBesides a generous Salary Package and fully maintained Vehicle, Rokon provides a family oriented and supportive workplace environment with defined training and career development opportunities.
