About the Role We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in HSE to join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Team as a SHEQ Coordinator where they will manage SHEQ systems, ensure compliance, and support workplace safety initiatives.
The role involves working with SHEQ applications, conducting audits, supporting injury management and coordination of wellbeing programs in a safety-focused environment.
This is a full-time position based at our Atlas mine site, Hatfield NSW.

Although this position is based at our Atlas mine site, this role also supports our Broken Hill Processing Plant and Ginkgo Mine (under rehabilitation), and there will be ad hoc travel to these sites when required.
Reporting into the Safety Manager, the SHEQ Coordinator position supports the administration, execution, and improvement of the EOPS Safety and Health Management Plan across all the sites.
Primary Responsibilities: Collate and assist in preparing internal and external SHEQ systems, risk, regulatory data, and reports.
Participate in the maintenance, review, and continuous improvement of SHEQ systems, risk management procedures, and improvement plans.
Manage and coordinate SHEQ systems such as CATS, ChemAlert, and Smart Solve.
Administration of SHEQ systems, ensure proper access levels and system security.
Assist site personnel with the proper usage and understanding of SHEQ systems.
Assist and support injury management and return-to-work processes.
Conduct regular SHEQ system inspections, audits, and risk assessments across relevant areas and processes.
Monitor and ensure compliance with SHEQ systems, risk regulations, and internal business requirements.
Support incident investigations and assist in SHEQ risk assessments.
Support the injury management cases, including tracking, reporting, and liaising with healthcare providers.
Coordinate and support health employee wellbeing programs and services.
Engage with personnel, regulators, and stakeholders in SHEQ workshops and discussions.
Assist in monitoring contractor activities for SHEQ compliance and promote a safe work environment.
Ideally, the successful candidate for this role will demonstrate: Experience with systems and applications management.
Strong background in administration and safety procedures.
Understanding of workplace safety and operational terminology (e.g., Permits, JHAs, RTW, ICAM).
Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety (or be prepared to undertake).
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with initiative and the ability to work autonomously.
Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to safety.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards.
Experience with incident investigations, audits, and safety inspections.
Experience with injury management and return-to-work processes.
Knowledge of occupational health and hygiene monitoring.
First Aid, Incident Investigation (ICAM), Safety Certifications.
