The RoleReporting to the GM Telecommunications and as a senior member of the leadership team, the HSE Operations Manager is focused on the provision of advice and support to the line of business, with a strong focus on driving improvements in Health and Safety and Environmental performance by leveraging UGL's HSE Strategy, HSE Management System, Assurance Program, and One HSE Culture Program.
Lead the development and implementation of the HSEQ strategy in alignment with the overall Telecommunications business strategy.Attract, lead, and coach a team of HSE professionals.Actively engage the Leadership and Site/Project teams to discuss how HSE outcomes are being achieved and assist with addressing gaps where identified.Monitor and report on achievement of HSE KPI's for the business, working with the leadership team to address any identified deficiencies.Monitor alignment with legal and client obligations, providing advice to the Leadership team and sites/projects on changes or emerging trends that could impact the successful delivery of work.Respond to business development opportunities, including involvement in Tender responses and Gate Processes to embed HSE expectations early in the project lifecycle.This position can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
