Working as a HSE Officer in our Kalgoorlie Branch, you will be responsible for providing Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) support and performing HSE inspections of work areas such as mine sites, workshops, offices, and yards to ensure compliance with client and company HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities: Source HSE information; effectively communicate client and Monadelphous HSE requirements and standards through verbal and written communication.Organise information into HSE forms, registers, reports, or databases for dissemination to others.Monitor employees to ensure that protective equipment is being used in compliance with regulations, and that combustible and other hazardous materials are handled and stored according to approved procedures.Inspect protective equipment and track updates to maintenance of that equipment (fire fighting equipment, electrical, emergency equipment, first aid and spill kits, eyewash).Testing & tagging of rigging/lifting equipment.Investigate incidents to identify their root cause and gather evidence of non-compliance with occupational health and safety laws.Ensure HSE Management plans, risk register, and Emergency management plans are up to date and comply with relevant HSE legislation and company standards.Coordinate and present daily toolbox talks, safety meetings, and campaigns, as well as facilitating training on general safety principles in accordance with regulations.What you'll bring: Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Work Health & Safety or similar is essential.Knowledge of HSE legislation and industry standards and their relevance to Monadelphous.Intermediate experience with MS Office Suite (particularly Word & Excel).Experience using HSE Data Systems.Written communication skills with the ability to prepare HSE reports, work instructions, and processes for the workforce.The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000.
