The Role
This diverse role will see you over seeing all aspects of Health, Safety & Environment including providing specialist advice to management, develop and implement staff wellbeing strategies, and continually promote a proactive health and safety culture for staff, students & visitors.
Job Requirements/Skills/Qualifications
Minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Alternatively, a relevant diploma or certification combined with extensive practical experience may be accepted.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and production practice.
Proven experience of 2+ years in an HSE position with a knowledge of ISO 14001 and AS/NZS 4801.
Familiarity with AS/NZ 5377 is advantageous.
Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits to identify potential hazards and develop appropriate control measures.
Responsibilities
Lead continuous improvement project related to HSE practices.
Provide professional advice and guidance on various HSE-related topics to employees and management.
Continuously monitor and enhance HSE management standards by identifying potential risks, analysing and implementing the optimal solutions.
Stay updated on relevant legislation, standards, industry requirements, codes of practice, and guidelines.
Develop, refine and update the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Security management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and requirement.
Lead internal HSE audits and risk assessments.
Coordinate external auditing and assessments.
Prepare internal HSE training material.
Maintain comprehensive HSE-related documentation, including equipment records and incident reports.
Engage and collaborate with relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure effective HSE and security management.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
