Job Description We are seeking a HSE Officer to join our team on an ongoing basis, Monday to Friday.
The site is located 30 minutes from Newcastle, NSW.
The role is not FIFO.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Site setup in accordance with the safety management plan, site facility plan and traffic management plan.
Facilitation of pre-start meetings.
Conduct daily Drug and Alcohol Testing in compliance with the Project Fitness for Work Procedure.
Coordinate weekly Toolbox meetings and minutes.
Deliver a health and safety topic to the site team once a week.
Assist the Site Supervisor / Manager and workforce develop JHA for each task.
Undertake and complete the weekly Safety / Environmental Inspection with the assistance of the Site Supervisor / Manager and where required a client representative.
Conduct induction as per the Site Specific Induction Checklist and record induction on the full induction register.
Use the HSE Statistics Workbook to record safety information pertinent to the project.
Attend / assist the Site Supervisor / Manager, and contribute to Alltype internal audits, Client audits and Regulator audits.
Ensure First Aid, PPE and Safety supplies are available.

Qualifications About you:

3+ years recent experience working on site for Construction projects.
Confidence in your abilities to communicate and build relationships with Senior Management and across Trade personnel.
Ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.
Hands-on and proactive approach to your role.
Minimum Cert IV in Health and Safety.
