Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment)The HSE Manager will oversee safety and WHS across the company, reporting directly to the COO and with a dotted line to the CEO. Responsibilities include setting and reviewing safety standards, conducting audits, and partnering with, coaching, and positively influencing Derwent's senior leaders, managers, team members, and external partners. This role also provides tailored HSE support and develops innovative strategic programs to enhance Derwent's safety and wellbeing culture.This role will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, plant managers and report monthly findings and actions to the Derwent Board of directors via the COO and in person on a quarterly basis.Duties and Key Result Areas:Review the current HSE within the organisation and make recommendations for improvements towards making it 'Best Practice'.Develop and implement Derwent's HSE procedures to deliver a step change improvement in the organisations HSE performance and promote continuous improvement.Develop, lead and implement HSE strategic projects to enable outcomes and facilitate change across the organisation as required.Coach, mentor and facilitate Business Unit Leadership teams and HSE teams, utilising best practice and leveraging capability and communities of practice to enhance the overall HSE performance.Develop, influence and contribute to cohesive, collaborative and innovative senior leadership teams within Derwent's leadership and HSE.Oversee HSE resourcing requirements across multiple operational sites to meet requests for support.Communicate openly, effectively and respectfully with all staff, clients and suppliers in the interests of good business practice, collaboration and enhancement of Derwent's reputation.Adhere to the spirit and practice of Derwent's Health, Safety and Environment plans and policies, Diversity initiatives and Zero Harm goals.Other duties as directed.Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Do you have a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment?Are you available to travel for this role when required?How far are you willing to travel for work?Have you completed a qualification in Work Health & Safety?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.What can I earn as an Operations Manager#J-18808-Ljbffr
