Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Full time We are seeking a HSE Manager to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team.
You will be based on our various projects and within our Brisbane Head Office and employed on a permanent basis.
About the role: Reporting to the Construction Manager, your duties will include:
Lead the current HSE teamLead key company audits and ensure overall complianceEnsuring construction sites comply with all current legislation and codes of practiceTraining and mentoring the existing HSE team and project teamPreparation of SWMS and JHA'sConducting risk assessments for projects and companyExperienced in AS / NZS 4801: 2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management SystemsCompletion of onsite audits and inspectionsCompletion of management plansOrganising site safety meetingsDevelop and establish forward-thinking HSE processes to ensure future projects are always aheadPreparation of reports for managementManagement and reporting of incidentsManagement of overall company HSEManagement of safety systemsEssential Skills and Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience in the Construction Health and Safety SectorCert IV in Workplace Health and Safety (minimum)Current First aid certificateKnowledge of current HSE legislation, acts, code of practice and regulationsStrong ability to manage time effectively and comply with all internal and external deadlines to develop and maintain key supplier and client relationshipsExcellent communication skills both written and verbalProficient computer skills across the Microsoft packageHigh level of attention to detail and the ability to problem solvePositive attitude and approachable demeanorWhat's on offer: Competitive salary based on the successful candidate's experienceA permanent position with a growing civil construction companyA mixture of office and site-based work, so no two days are the sameWork VehicleAbout Us: Silverstrand is a privately owned and operated contractor operating across Australasia since 2008, providing quality delivery in all areas of both civil and structural construction works in metro, regional, and remote areas.
