This position is graded at Professional & Managerial Grade Two (PM2) with salaries starting from $171,495 + 14.75% super on a 10-day fortnight.
You support the delivery of HSE investigations in accordance with Incident Management Frameworks and maintenance of skills through the active practice of leading incident investigations. You will provide support for the development and implementation of HSE initiatives that form a part of the HSE framework and wider organisation's objectives. You will facilitate and manage the weekly induction process for all Yurika new starters that is delivered from Newstead and Eagle Farm locations. We're looking for an experienced Learning & Assurance Specialist with a proven ability in identifying, developing and delivering a learning & assurance programme whilst driving learning & improvement culture relating to all things Health Safety and Environment across Yurika.
About your new role The HSE Learning & Assurance Specialist's primary objective is to lead and conduct learning and assurance activities related to Health, Safety, Environment across Yurika, ensuring risk and compliance obligations are managed and supported for a culture of learning as part of Yurika's HSE Strategy. Support the Yurika HSE Manager through active input and coordination of the Learning and Assurance Program.
Some of your accountabilities include:
Provision and coordination of expert technical oversight and supervision associated with the field delivery of construction works across multiple work sites, including the negotiation of on-site works delivery action plans and project management plans. Development, coordination and management of multiple work sites including routines and standards pertaining to site safety and environment and cultural heritage compliance. Contribution and coordination of overall project construction works completion and performance forecasting along with development, management of site works including scheduling and planning of the site based project resources required to deliver the sequence of works and achieve required milestones. Contribute and support the development and implementation of an effective project communications plan for internal and external stakeholders during construction phases. Establish a program of meetings, and communicate key outcomes through meeting minutes. Prepare regular project reports specifying physical and financial progress. Develop community/stakeholder consultation plans where necessary. Develop, coordinate and implement timely overall construction Project Plans including schedules, timetables, implementation plans and integrated resource strategies in consultation with project stakeholders and industry partners. As required, manage geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary teams to perform the work in accordance with project specification, statutory and environmental requirements. Coordinate and collaborate with project assigned Construction Managers, Team Leaders, Project Supervisors to monitor construction and resource performance. Monitor the progress of all designated projects to ensure that they are brought in on time and on budget. Pro-actively manage project risk and perform project risk assessments to identify issues that will affect project outcomes and develop risk management plans to mitigate the risk. Essentials Degree in Health, Safety, Environment or related discipline and/or equivalent demonstrated experience. Lead Auditor qualification, such as AS/NZS 4801/ISO 45001, ISO14001. Demonstrated experience in leading professionals in Health, Safety and Environmental related field to deliver activities (e.g. learning and investigation or audit activities). Additionally, this role has a requirement to travel interstate frequently and at short notice in order to lead and facilitate incident investigations and evaluate/audit safe works system, where applicable.
