Our client, a global Facilities Management Service Provider, is seeking a HSE Lead to manage 5 remote-based team members.This permanent, full-time role (Monday to Friday) is based on the Projects Team, covering capital and minor works, refurbishments, and maintenance.
It will require travel to the Pilbara 2-3 times a month.We are seeking candidates who have worked in the facilities management and/or construction industry.
Previous FIFO experience or working in remote environments would be great!
The Role:Oversee, lead and mentor a high-performing team of 5+ HSE Specialists.Influence site management on HSEQ policies to ensure risk management is a value conveyed to all personnel.Focus on risk management through effective leadership and elimination of inconsistent practices.Promote the safety culture, setting high standards, communicating openly, confronting risk, and involving the workforce.Communicate legislative requirements that impact stakeholders within the business.Update risk registers following the identification of significant incidents and trends.Undertake contractor assessments and report on compliance.Coach and mentor the site leads in business risk management tools and support them by providing technical support, advice, and assistance on risk management-related queries.Review the implementation of operational activities within the HSEQ Management Plan.Ideal Attributes:Passionate about HSE and creating safe working environments.Strong leadership experience.Excellent communication skills.Energetic with a positive outlook.Outcome-focused.Qualifications:Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (at minimum).Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.Certified in Internal Auditing (desirable but not essential).Current West Australian C Class driver's license.The Company:Fantastic long-term career opportunity within a global company.They offer very competitive benefits and free parking at the office.High performing, experienced team.Supportive, flexible working conditions.*The successful candidate must have full rights to work in Australia.
