Reporting to the National HSEQ Manager your main role is to provide specialist HSEQ advice and assistance to Project personal to assist in creating a safety culture that aligns to Service Stream's safety vision of "providing a safe and healthy workplace where we care about the safety of our people, our customers, and the community."Nature of position:6-month contract, Full TimeLocation:Bendigo, VICReporting Line:National HSEQ ManagerKey Responsibilities:To prevent injuries and illness by partnering with local business management and workers to achieve a healthy and safe workplace, this will be achieved by:Coaching and advising management and workers (via field attendance) on meeting their work health and safety duties.Supporting management and workers in the implementation of policies, systems, programs and initiatives and meeting local legislative requirements.Providing support for the company's risk management and consultative processes.Providing local support for the company's assurance processes including audits, inspections and investigations and reporting to relevant stakeholders.Coaching and advising management and workers on all work health and safety matters relevant to the work activities undertaken.Coordinate provision of HSE services to Service Stream operations in the region.About you:Experience in Health and Safety (2+ years), preferably within the infrastructure, construction or mining industries.Knowledge and understanding of current WHS legislation.Demonstrated experience in subcontractor managementExperience in producing incident investigation reports.Proven ability to lead and engage a diverse range of people.Proven ability to provide practical solutions.Knowledge of current rehabilitation and injury management approaches.Experience in developing/reviewing SWMS.Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook applicationsCertificate IV in WHS or equivalentIncident Investigation Qualified - preferably ICAM Lead InvestigatorCurrent Australian Full Drivers LicenceAbout Us:Service Stream, together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading national service provider to develop and operate Australia's essential communications, energy and water networks in the telecommunications, utilities and transport industries.
