Our opportunityAs HSE Advisor supporting one of our residential developments, you will be responsible for assisting the Workplace Manager in day-to-day implementation and maintenance of the organisation's HSE Management System and the Workplace Risk Management Plan. The Health Safety Environment Advisor may also be responsible for assisting with the ongoing and day-to-day provision of HSE support, advice, training and reporting functions.
Your responsibilitiesAssist in the development and implementation of HSE initiatives and programs consistent with the Workplace Risk Management Plan and Legislative requirements.Support & actively participate as a member of the Workplace HSE team.Assist in the development and distribution of monthly HSE reports, presentations and HSE topics that Management & employees with Workplace injury statistics, new initiatives & system changes.Actively participate in formal and informal communication to increase understanding & awareness of HSE issues.Keep abreast of legislative changes and best practice methods and advice on management of these changes.Provide accurate & timely advice to Managers on any prevailing HSE issues.Direct communications between injured employees, their management and medical providers to ensure that all parties are aware of their rights, responsibilities and return to work plans.Assist in the preparation of monthly HSE report and completion of monthly HSE scheduled activities.Conduct regular HSE inspections and Service Provider Implementation reviews across your designated project.Lead or facilitate incident investigations with site management to ensure the root causes and corrective actions are identified.Your point of differenceFormal training in OH&S or associated fields with 3-5 years' experience in overseeing and promoting HSE requirements, including a broad knowledge and experience in risk assessment, auditing and review processes and a solid understanding of Regional Legislative requirements.A team player with good communication skills coupled with effective time management and capability to manage conflict and change.All of these attributes are preferred; if you think you may be the right fit for the role please still apply.
