HSE Advisor – BESS Project – Regional WA site Based role – Fixed Term Contract About Company Our client is an international EPC contractor in renewable energy with experience in delivering successful projects in the Australian market.
About the Role Based on-site, you will work closely with the project delivery team to coordinate the implementation of robust WHS policies for a major BESS installation project. You will liaise with direct staff, sub-contractors, and suppliers to help ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environment procedures, cultivating a safety-first culture on site.
Role and Responsibilities Provide input into lessons learned and continuous improvement. Offer environmental, safety, and occupational health support, assistance, and guidance to the Service Teams daily and the wider business as required. Implement the requirements of the Service Site EHS plan and company procedures at the site level. Monitor compliance with company procedures and key performance indicators through inspections, audits, and reviews. Prepare EHS reporting to ensure internal and external compliance for service sites on performance and opportunities for improvement. Support the company with monitoring and reporting on adherence to the company and Customer quality requirements for Service sites. Conduct analysis and reports on changes to relevant EHS State and Federal laws and regulations and provide advice and support on subsequent changes for internal standards. Manage post-incident and incident investigations in accordance with Site EHS Plans and legislative requirements. Maintain EHS and Quality records including risk and aspect registers. Skills & Experience Tertiary Safety qualifications (Cert IV or above). Solid site-based HSE experience, preferably within the renewable energy space or a large construction project environment. Solid knowledge of QHSE processes and relevant Australian safety legislation. Demonstrated experience and commitment to working in compliance with OH&S Legislation. Strong administrative skills including competency with MS Word, Excel, and SharePoint (desirable). A current unrestricted Australian Driver's License. Benefits Attractive package.
