JOB TITLE: HSE ADVISOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: HSE representative for nominated asset(s), projects and/or contracts, responsible for driving performance in health, safety and environmental through deep technical expertise and a deep understanding of human performance across the Asset Solutions Australia region.Delivers conformance with HSE related GMS requirements and regulatory compliance.Providing challenge, coaching and support to contract/asset office and site teams to deliver continuous HSE improvement.Providing HSE reporting and information into the contract/asset Leadership team and is expected to travel at least quarterly to the site.Represent Petrofac to Clients and Regulators and act as business partner for the HSE function for nominated scopes of work.Regularly review the suitability and application of HSE content of GMS systems and procedures to ensure simplicity and effectiveness of execution, proposing and drafting changes for management approval as appropriate.Act as supporting member in risk assessment meetings and reviews (e.g.
ORA, HAZID), providing the challenge for nominated scopes.Assist in the preparation of emergency and bridging documents, workpack dossiers for simultaneous operations between operations and construction, operations, projects and wells.Responsible for development of project/asset HSE deliverables, including the preparation of HSE plans, interface/bridging documentation, emergency response documentation, HSE themed campaigns, and other contract specific deliverables.Participate in project/asset readiness reviews and lessons learned sessions.Manage project/asset audit and assurance schedule, undertaking audits and site visits, identifying and driving the opportunities for continual improvement via SMART action management.Work with the project/asset team, client and contractor staff to encourage them to speak up and transparently report through participation in safety observations, near miss reporting and safety conversations.
Promotes workforce engagement including Employee Safety Representatives.Coach the project/asset leadership and workforce on the use of tools and techniques to improve safety conversations, human performance and reduce mistakes.Be a member of the Petrofac emergency response team on a rota basis.Develop insights from safety metrics analysis, contractor self-verification and other findings.Support the evaluation of contractor and subcontractors.Focal point for site based HSE team members.The above is an outline of key duties and accountabilities, rather than an exclusive or exhaustive list of responsibilities.
