Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Ten Recruitment are working with one of Perth's leading commercial construction businesses to source two HSE Advisors. With several large commercial construction projects in the Perth metro area, this is a great opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Safety Advisor with a solid background in construction, a genuine passion for safety, and achieving a zero-harm culture to oversee site safety and drive a strong safety culture.
Your responsibilities may include: Delivering the day-to-day Health and Safety duties such as inspections, SWMS, JHAs, and prestart/toolbox meetings.Proactively overseeing site safety operations and promoting a strong safety culture across sites.Ensuring all required documentation is in place and maintained at all times, liaising with site managers and trades where required.Driving continuous improvement across all safety aspects.Reporting on site safety activities.Carrying out inductions where required.Regular inspections to eliminate hazards and provide advice as required.Keeping up to date with legislative changes and requirements, sharing new information with the relevant managers, employees, and contractors.Carrying out incident investigations and reporting; ensuring teams are debriefed and issues are resolved.A successful candidate will have: A genuine passion for safety and achieving a positive and productive zero harm culture.Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety (minimum).First Aid Certificate.Construction Industry White Card.A background in the construction industry and a solid understanding of safety in construction.A positive attitude and an ability to connect with and positively influence others.Ability to speak in large groups to deliver safety updates as well as providing one-on-one advice and support.Able to use safety applications on an iPad.High attention to detail.Excellent communication skills.Own reliable transport and valid Driver's License.This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading commercial construction company that supports their employees' career growth and development.
