PHE Mining is seeking a highly motivated HSE Advisor to join our team on a 2:1 roster working at a remote mine site in the Northern Territory.Reporting to the HSE Lead, this role will ensure a culture of safety and quality on site, as well as maintain compliance with management systems. You will be responsible for providing HSE support, training, and building safety knowledge across for our people in the surface / underground environment.This role is working in an Underground Gold Mine and the roster is split between day shift and night shift.ABOUT YOU:Diploma OHS qualified or Minimum of Cert IV WHS and TAEInternal Auditing training (preferred)Sound working knowledge and understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation, standards and code of practiceD&A testing qualification or ability to obtainReturn to Work Coordination QualificationPrevious experience in a HSE Advisors position working on Industrial Electrical construction projectsSound Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skillsStrong Safety LeadershipHighly organised with impeccable attention to detailABOUT THE ROLE:Provide leadership that encourages Work Health, Safety & Environment throughout site to create a continuous improvement culture and implement best practice management systems in the workplaceUndertake regular training needs analysis and manage internal audit programs in consultation with management teamPrepare reports, record data, and collect evidence of the site's complianceProvide active management of workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management and return to work programsReporting any workers compensation matters to ManagementEnsure that all people work sensibly, safely and abide to all WHS & Environmental Acts and RegulationsConduct random D&A testing on siteIdentify health, safety, and environmental non-conformances, conduct investigations and develop solutions for implementationABOUT US:PHE has 50 years' history providing safe, rewarding, long-term employment in regional areas.
