About the role
This is an Expression of Interest for an HSE Advisor.
UGL Major Projects division is expecting significant growth for 2025 in Western Australia as we support large Building Services Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for locals and those open to FIFO and DIDO roles.
Implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with HSE regulations. Monitor construction activities to promote a safe working environment. Provide training and support to project teams on HSE practices. Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure reporting requirements are met. Advise & coach operational managers, supervisors, and workers to achieve compliance and best practice for WHS, worker's compensation & injury management. Preparation of reports for internal & external stakeholders where required. Develop and maintain HSE records and systems. Nurture a culture of inclusion, responsiveness, honesty and accountability. About you
Certificate IV, Diploma and / or tertiary qualifications in WHS. Excellent knowledge of the WHS, Environment and Workers Compensation legislation. The ability to provide leadership, direction, and support to all team members. Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
