Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.
This role as HS Risk Assurance Advisor, will be based out of our office in Buronga, near Mildura. This will either suit a local resident, who wants to work on a Monday to Friday basis. Alternatively, it will suit someone from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide, who would work on a FIFO schedule on a 14:7.
The RoleSupported and mentored by senior HS management, the role will include the delivery of a range of auditing and reporting services. Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Advise on Management Systems across: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001Participate in compliance requirements to prepare, achieve and maintain accreditation with applicable regulatory bodies (such as ISO, OFSC & NHVR)Facilitating kick-off meetings, audits and reviews of findings in closeout meetingsResearching, interpreting, and providing advice on legislative and regulatory requirementsReviewing documentation (such as policies, procedures, WHSMP's, SWMS', project documentation and management system resources)Supporting others within the HS team in the delivery of auditing and compliance services where required.Experience RequiredInterpretation and application of relevant health and safety legislation, regulation, standards and codes of practiceGeneral technical knowledge across a range of disciplines (for example, high risk work, safety observations/inspections, emergency response, achieving/monitoring/maintaining compliance to defined criteria)Strong communication and engagement skills with group audiences to deliver key information and feedbackReport writing to address defined criteria/findings and establish practical solutions to achieve best practice outcomesQualificationsCertificate IV in Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety (minimum)Strong computer acumen and high level of attention to detailWorking knowledge of WHS legislation, Standards & Codes of PracticeProfessional written and verbal communication skillsEffective time management and prioritisation skillsAuditing qualification (or demonstrated understanding of audit processes)We're building a diverse workforce.
