Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment)My Client is a Multidisciplinary Civil Contractor who has been operating across South East Queensland for over 15 years. As the business is continuing to grow, so does the needs of the company, and as such, they are looking for an experienced HR/HSE Professional to drive safety and employee engagement.This role combines WHS and HR responsibilities, allowing you to drive compliance and foster employee success. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WHS legislation and Human Resources, including Award interpretation, exceptional communication skills, and a flexible approach to change. The primary responsibility is to provide timely guidance, advice, and support on WHS matters and manage HR duties for the Business.Key Responsibilities:Developing, implementing and monitoring WHS policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.Overseeing the company's HR activities and providing generalist HR support and advice.Recruitment, termination, onboarding, inductions.Promoting a positive, inclusive and safety-conscious workplace culture across all levels.Providing HR and WHS advice, training and support to managers and employees.Maintaining accurate records and reporting on HSEQ and HR metrics.Staying up-to-date with changes in HSEQ and HR legislation and best practices.Investigating incidents and facilitating corrective actions, assisting operational teams in achieving HSEQ compliance.Conducting safety audits, risk assessments and investigations, and implementing corrective actions whilst identifying opportunities for improvement.Conducting site audits, workplace inspections, and high-risk work pre-starts, reporting findings to management.What we're looking for:Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources or a HSEQ related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar HSEQ and HR management role, preferably within the construction industry.Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing WHS systems and programs.Proven experience in HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.Strong understanding of WHS regulations, standards, and best practices.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing demands.Passion for promoting a positive, inclusive and safety-focused workplace culture.Proficient in IT, including MS Office.Ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems.Self-motivated with a positive, "Can Do" approach.What we offer:Salary up to $140k + Package.Growing Business with job security.Opportunity for you to take ownership of the role and learn and grow with the business.If you are passionate about health, safety, environment, and human resources, and you thrive in a dynamic environment, I want to hear from you!If you are interested in this role or would like to find out about similar roles, please contact John Wilkinson for a confidential discussion on 0451405224 or email ******.
