What you will do
SES Unit
The SES (Senior Executive Service) Unit provides specialised, contemporary and high-quality advice and services to SES leaders and their support staff.
The key responsibilities at the APS5 level include:
Support the onboarding and offboarding of SES employees.
Support SES recruitment processes.
Support induction briefings for new SES employees.
Provide support and guidance to SES employees on HR matters.
Support the team with SES reporting.
Support the APS6 and EL1 with discrete projects.
The key responsibilities at the APS6 level include:
Manage the onboarding of SES employees.
Manage end-to-end SES recruitment.
Support the recruitment of Statutory Appointments.
Coordinate induction briefings for new SES employees.
Provide support and guidance to SES employees on complex HR matters.
Gather and analyse data to prepare regular SES reports.
Support SES workforce planning discussions.
Manage and lead discrete projects.
Support the day-to-day operations of the SES Unit.
What you will bring
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with excellent judgement, strong attention to detail and the ability to take a people-centric approach.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responds quickly and flexibly to change.
Ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to interpret HR-related legislation.
Experience working with HR systems (desirable).
(APS6 only) Leadership experience.
Eligibility
Employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS.
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Pre-employment screening checks will be conducted.
