As a result of a vacancy, St John NT is looking to recruit a self-motivated and people orientated leader to join their People & Culture team.
In this role, you will serve as a vital link between the operational and strategic goals of the business, our operations and our people.
Reporting to the Director People & Culture, you will work with the Executive Leadership Team, operational department leaders and key stakeholders to provide exceptional people delivery and operational support services to the business.
The HR & Safety Manager will be seen as a trusted advisor within the business, working closely with the Director People & Culture on key strategic people initiatives.
You will be managing the employment relations, recruitment, injury management and work health and safety functions of St John NT.
This pivotal role leads, manages and coordinates the functions and activities of the HR and Safety team, to ensure continual improvement and a high performing people and culture function across St John NT.
This role will also interface with the Mental Health & Wellbeing, Learning & Development and Payroll teams that reside within the People & Culture team.
This role will undertake 2IC duties in the absence of the Director People & Culture and will be part of the succession planning for the Director People & Culture role into the future.
Well qualified and experienced, someone who is empathetic and possesses the resilience to drive change will achieve success in this role, as well your ability to assess current practice against relevant benchmarks considered 'good practice' that ultimately lead to areas of improvement.
Your already proven track record will provide an ability to apply your knowledge and skills effectively to partner and work with a number of key stakeholders by gaining their respect and confidence.
