Our client, a local government based in the western suburbs of Melbourne is looking for a HR Policy Officer to join their People & Culture team. The role is start ASAP and is initially contracted until 13th December 2024 and could lead to longer term opportunities. You will be working Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm.
I am looking for a HR professional with strong expertise in policy and procedure development. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful HR projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provide high-level advice on Human Resource policies and procedures.Develop, review, and maintain HR policies in collaboration with HR Business Partners.Ensure policies comply with relevant legislation and align with the organization's priorities.Research and assess HR policies from similar organizations to promote best practices.Act as a policy advisor, providing guidance and interpretation on HR policies and procedures.Support management across all levels with professional HR advice, particularly concerning HR policy, equity, diversity, anti-harassment, and complaint resolution.About You: Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business, or equivalent experience.Significant experience providing HR policy and project advice in a local government or similar environment.Strong research, conceptual, and analytical skills, with experience in developing HR policies and procedures.Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including equity, diversity, anti-harassment, and anti-bullying.Proven ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively.Benefits: Learning and development opportunitiesParking onsiteOpportunity to work for a value driven organizationIf you are interested in this role, please APPLY with your resume.
