They are seeking a dedicated HR/Payroll Manager to meet the growing demands of the market. This position will require a motivated individual who is confident in overseeing a small payroll team and being the sole HR point of contact for the company. With calculated growth and a long-term strategy in place, they have a proven track record of success and a strong reputation.Your new roleAs the HR/Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Payroll team and developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business strategy. You will bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues while managing the recruitment and selection process. You will need to have effective communication with a variety of people at all levels of the organisation and liaise with clients professionally.Key Responsibilities:Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Modern AwardsAssist in end-to-end processing of company payroll and time and attendanceEnsure accurate and timely payment of wages and salariesDrive HR initiatives, including recruitment and onboardingMaintain payroll system and ensure accurate data transfersGenerate reports for payments and month-end reportingProvide regular reporting on People Metrics for board reportsAssist with compliance checks to meet legislative obligationsBuild relationships with customers and stakeholdersContribute to change projects and system improvementsMaintain confidentiality at all timesWhat you'll need to succeedTo be successful, you will have previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced, busy environment. Experience in construction would be advantageous.Additionally, you will have the following Qualifications & Skills:Minimum 3 years of payroll experience with multiple awards and EA'sHuman Resources qualificationsStrong computer literacy, especially in spreadsheets and word processingExcellent communication skills and ability to interact at all levelsAnalytical mindset and keen eye for detailAbility to meet deadlines and prioritise tasksSelf-motivated, flexible, and responsibleComfortable in a fast-paced and changing environmentStrong learning agility and adaptabilityWhat you'll get in returnThis position is ideal for a hardworking, confident, and enthusiastic individual.
