We are looking for an experienced and strategic HR Director to lead the Human Resources department of a dynamic event company in Melbourne. The HR Director will play a critical role in developing and executing HR strategies that support our business goals, foster a positive workplace culture, and enhance employee engagement and development.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with the company's vision and objectives. Partner with the executive team to drive business success through effective people management. Organizational Development: Lead initiatives to build a strong organizational culture that promotes employee engagement, productivity, and satisfaction. Implement programs that support organizational change and development. Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee the recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain top talent. Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new hires are successfully integrated. Performance Management: Establish and manage performance management systems to drive high performance and employee growth. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related issues and development plans. Compensation and Benefits: Develop competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with market standards and company goals. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations. Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues. Address and resolve employee concerns and conflicts in a timely and effective manner. HR Policy and Compliance: Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Conduct regular audits to maintain adherence to HR standards and best practices. Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a welcoming and equitable workplace. Implement programs that support a diverse and inclusive workforce. Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career development. Support leadership development initiatives to build management capabilities. HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and improve HR processes. Prepare and present HR reports to the executive team. Health and Safety: Ensure the health and safety of all employees by implementing and maintaining safety programs. Foster a culture of safety and well-being within the company. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior HR role, preferably within the events or entertainment industry. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations in Australia. Proven experience in strategic HR leadership and organizational development. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. Skills: Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals. Organizational Development: Expertise in fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing employee engagement. Talent Management: Skilled in recruitment, onboarding, training, and development. Performance Management: Competence in implementing performance systems and addressing issues. Compensation and Benefits: Knowledge of competitive compensation strategies and compliance. Conflict Resolution: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve employee issues effectively. Diversity and Inclusion: Commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
