Scolmore have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to join our HR team.
You will play a critical role in supporting the HR function across the Scolmore Group.
Working closely with the HR Manager to drive the HR Strategy and develop HR documentation and policies.
The role will liaise with both managers and employees on all ER-related matters ensuring advice is given consistently and in line with Company policies and procedures.
Main DutiesHR Processes, Policies, and Administration
Work with the HR Manager to monitor and review all HR policies and proceduresContribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiativesDocument and develop process flows to support the HR PoliciesRespond to general queries from managers and employees, signposting them to the appropriate policy and procedureProviding advice and guidance on employee relations issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, sickness absence management including OHA referrals, investigation meetings, etcParticipate in performance management processes, including appraisalsWork with the HR team to ensure that all personnel information and HR Systems are maintained and kept up to dateSupport the HR Assistant to manage family-friendly queries and casesAssist the HR & Payroll Administrator by maintaining the accuracy of payroll data and related records e.g., absences, bonuses, leave, etcEnsure the casework trackers are kept up to date to maintain accurate reporting to the Board of DirectorsDevelop the warehouse relationship, set up HR clinics, and participate in Operations meetingsSupport the Legal & Compliance Team with Policies, the LMS, and Health and Safety, where applicable, and represent the HR teamSupport the HR Manager with new and ongoing projectsWork collaboratively with the existing HR Generalist to produce various HR statistics such as turnover rates, absenteeism, recruitment, salary benchmarking and trendsSupport the development and administration of SharePointWork with the HR team to manage the HR inboxSickness Absence
Monitor sickness absence across the group, reporting trends and monthly sickness absence analytics to the HR ManagerSupport line managers in conducting absence review meetings from Stage 2 onward, ensuring we have the correct documentation on fileRecruitment
Help drive the Recruitment Strategy and attract and retain top talentOversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, conducting interviews, and facilitating smooth onboarding with support from the HR AssistantMonitor and maintain the agency PSL with the HR Manager, assessing the performance of each agencySupport the onboarding and offboarding process by conducting inductions and exit interviewsTraining and Development
