About the Client: Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for four (4) HR Generalists to join their busy team for a 12-month casual temporary assignment.
About the role As an HR Generalist, you will respond to enquiries from leadership teams who require additional support when considering a declared conflict and/or proposed mitigation strategies. In addition, your key duties are as follows:
Support leadership teams in managing conversations with workers where the decision is to decline a Conflict of Interest (COI) declaration. Interrogate reports and develop insights for the benefit of HR Business Partners, and HR Risk and Compliance teams to identify trends of concern and opportunities to educate workers. Manage, resolve, and respond to a range of employee issues and enquiries in line with the NDIA Enterprise Agreement (EA), work practices and relevant legislation. Provide advice and support on a range of P&C functions, including performance, systems, and processes. Assist in the development of learning materials, including guides, information sheets and other supporting resources. Support culture and inclusion initiatives, such as the promotion of events and communications. About you To be successful in this role, you must have:
Proven experience in a similar HR Generalist role Understanding of conflict of interest in a workplace setting would be advantageous. Experience with Service Desk (Jira) or similar ticket system software is a plus! Excellent IT skills, including proven ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office products. Strong ability to handle tasks with competing deadlines and priorities. Great attention to detail and ability to undertake analysis and assessment of detailed and sensitive information. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
