About Our Client...
Our client is a well-established nationally registered employer association, located in the beautiful inner south-eastern suburbs. An exciting, newly created opportunity is now available for an experienced HR/Employee Relations Consultant to join their dedicated member-focused employment team.
About This Role...
Working alongside their employment lawyers (team of 4), including the Head of Legal, you will help triage and provide HR support to their members on a wide range of employee relations and HR matters.
Some of your primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Advice to members (telephone and email) on a wide range of employment relations matters such as disciplinary matters, performance-related issues, termination of employment, EEO, discrimination, WHS, and award interpretation;
Helping to mentor and coach members in having employee relation conversations;
Contribute to Employee Relations projects and initiatives;
Ad hoc HR Consulting work to members (which may involve travel from time to time); and
Help write articles on relevant subject matter.
About You...
The ideal candidate will have:
2+ years in HR/Employee Relations role;
Experience in a wide range of HR/employee relations matters;
Interest in high-level legislative matters;
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills;
Strong written and verbal communication.
