The HR Director will make recommendations and decisions and promote HR initiatives to enable the long-range business plans and positively impact the results of the business.ResponsibilitiesOrganization Effectiveness & Talent Development:Partner with Management on appropriate organization design that supports our business strategyPartner with Management on the Annual Workforce and Budgeting process to ensure we have the right people and capabilities required for our growth plansPartner with Management on Organisation & Management Review (OMR), Talent Reviews, Succession and career development conversations and actions to ensure we have the right people and capabilities for the future.
Retain, track and grow high potential talentsMonitor and provide consultative support on the Performance Management Processes including performance calibrationEvaluate and recommend internal or external learning resources to support the development plansIdentify the leadership development needs and priority for investments leveraging LVMH House / Tiffany U as well as other providers as neededLead an Effective HR Service Delivery model:Develop and deliver core HR Service excellence, in an effective and efficient manner (Payroll Management, HR reporting & analysis, Employee benefits administration etc.
)Manage the employee life cycle from offer, onboarding of employees, annual HR processes and off-boardingRecruit talent at all levels to ensure business needs are met.
Proactively source and create candidate pipelines through internal talent identification, exploratory interviews, networking and actively seeking passive candidates through new technology platforms.Coach managers on job description development, selection criteria and build capability in quality hiringIdentify and manage vendors relationshipsEnsure we are compliant with all Company, labor, legal and government reporting requirementsEmployee Relations:Actively communicate trends and implications of local labor laws, and provide training and mitigation to avoid any non-complianceFoster positive trusted relationships between our employees, management, customers and partners using our Tiffany Values to guide our day to day behaviors and decisionsIdentify themes and trends in HR/functional areas as evidenced by employee surveys, observations and conversations across the business.
Recommend employee relations practices to build a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee engagement, contribution and motivation.Maintain company policies, procedures and handbooks in line with current employment law and best practice.
Partner with Management to ensure managers are up to date with changes to any Global and Local HR policies and guidance and can meet their responsibilities.Develop strategies and tactics to address under-performing employees consistent within the region and the organization.Elevate recognition of our people, including leveraging Global and local recognition programs and building a culture of open and constructive feedbackLeverage functional expertise to ensure consistent and fair resolution of complex employee relations situations.
Ensure employees concerns are addressed in a fair and respectful manner in line with our Tiffany values, policies and local employment lawActive participation to the Employee Resource groups, provide objective and guidance to promote harmonious relations among company, management and employees.Compensation and Benefits:Identify Compensation and benefits trends/shortfalls/opportunities and provide action plans to remain market competitiveWork with Regional HR to review and recommend salary package for new hires, promotions, transfers, and current market data to ensure compensation and benefit programs are competitive to retain and motivate our top talentSupport the Management to review and monitor the effectiveness of our local employee bonus, incentive and commission programReview and propose enhancement of benefits, vendors and programs to ensure we are competitive and our compensation and benefits administration and processes are effective and efficient.Leadership:Provide thought leadership with Management and advocate the business strategies throughout the organisationBe the impartial leader and display objectivity across complex and confidential matters that impact our organizationLead through example with clear and transparent communications, promoting ideas and recommendations, and supporting teamwork by building trust with colleagues and business partners.Influence cross-functional teams through effective communication.Qualifications:At least 8 years of HR managerial experience including being HR function head, business partner to Managing Director.Work experience in retail/FMCG experience is an advantage.Strong understanding of local labour laws and HR practices in Australia and New ZealandStrong leadership skills and experience managing diversityProven experience in leading diverse teams (Talent Acquisition/Development and HR operations)Strong consultative, coaching, communication and influence skillsDemonstrated expertise in HR service deliveryExcellent influence, interpersonal communication, problem solving, follow up and creative solution generation skillsGeneral business acumen, analytical and numerateStrong computer skills with MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and HRIS (Oracle or similar)Must be planned and organized, sufficiently detail orientedBachelor degree in Human Resources or related disciplineAvailable for travel within Australia & New ZealandPreferred:Post graduate qualification BA / BS or MBA degreeMore than 12 years of HR work experience with outstanding track record
