Details of the offer

We are seeking a HR Consultant with at least 3-4 years experience in a generalist HR role. With a 0.4 FTE requirement this role may suit someone returning from maternity leave, or someone who is seeking a work/life balance and move into a part time position.

The role includes:

Office Culture and Employee Engagement


Seek feedback/act as a trusted advisor on employee experience and address any concerns as they arise.Support legal assistants with process and interpersonal issues including advising on interpersonal and process issues and team cover for leave/busy periods.Support diversity and inclusion events which are run nationally.Improve connections in the office: present ideas for approval and help drive activities around health and wellbeing; relationship building; and collaboration.
Employee Relations


Advise and coach staff and Partners in dealing with conflicts and other concerns.Support individuals with challenges related to the work environment.Mediate interpersonal issues or work challenges to find win-win solutions.
Recruitment


Manage recruitment for the office (generally 1-2 roles at any one time)Research and consider recruitment of graduates for the Perth office, initiating/co-ordinating recruitment as/when required with support from HR Co-ordinator (Melbourne based).Manage the on-boarding experience for new hires with support from HR Co-ordinator (approx. 1 per month)Advise Partners/managers on options and provide ongoing support for resourcing including liaison with the rest of the HR team/Resourcing Consultant.
Requirements for the role:


HR tertiary qualification desirableMinimum of 4 years generalist HR experience preferably within professional servicesSound knowledge of contemporary HR practicesHigh level of competence in dealing with all employee relations mattersAbility to liaise with people at any level and build relationships quicklyStrong professional communication (both written and verbal)Proven ability to manage projects and deliver outcomesAction-orientated and meets deadlinesDemonstrate a high degree of confidentiality
This role is a great opportunity to showcase your relationship building skills, liaising with all employees in the Perth office. You will be comfortable in an independent HR role while still having the support from the wider national HR team.
