Add expected salary to your profile for insightsSalary Circa $108K - $117k + 17% superannuationNorth Ryde location; full-time continuing position, flexible working arrangementsHigher education industry experience preferredJoin our HR Business Partnering team at Macquarie University as an HR Consultant to support the delivery of strategic and advisory HR services during an exciting period of organisational transformation.We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Consultant to join our HR Business Partnering team at Macquarie University on a continuing basis.Having recently implemented a new HR operating model, including setting up a new HR Shared Services function, there has never been a better time to join the HR Business Partnering team at Macquarie University.
As a result, we are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused HR Consultant to provide strategic and advisory support to the University's leaders and managers, initially supporting the Faculty of Arts.Reporting to the Lead HRBP, you will work and collaborate closely to support staff and managers, focusing strongly on workforce planning, case management, culture initiatives and engagement.You will also work closely with our Centres of Expertise (COE), this includes Organisational Development, Remuneration, Employee Relations, WHS and Talent Acquisition in the delivery of specialised services, and with HR Shared Services to ensure timely and efficient execution of HR transactions.Specifically the role will:Support the Business Partnering team and specialist HR teams in the development and implementation of HR activities including workforce planning and transformation, talent management and succession planning that integrate with functional strategies.Provide timely and consistent coaching, advice, and support to managers including in relation to performance management, organisational development, remuneration, recognition, and reward.Work in partnership with the Lead HRBP to ensure managers are supported to work through workplace relations issues.Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and projects aimed at improving HR services, procedures and achieving HR and key strategic and operational priorities.To be successful in securing this role you will have the below criteria/experience:Significant relevant HR generalist experience in a similar role in a complex and highly client focused environmentExperience working with HR frameworks including job design, remuneration, talent and performance managementProven ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholdersExperience working with specialist HR functions in a COE model, with the ability to build relationships across the HR function to deliver solutionsSound knowledge of and experience in working within a range of employment frameworks, including relevant legislation, enterprise agreements and modern awardsA bachelor's degree in HR or other relevant discipline and/or relevant equivalent experienceExperience in the higher education sector will be highly regarded but is not essentialOther Specific RequirementsCriminal record check (national police clearance)How to ApplyTo be considered for this position, please apply online by submitting your CV and a separate (2-page maximum) cover letter that clearly addresses the above criteria/experience.For further information, or a confidential conversation please contact Kate Williams, Talent Acquisition Consultant on ****** date: Monday 27th of January 2025 at 11:59pm (AEST)We reserve the right to progress or decline an application prior to the application closing date.Diversity and InclusionInnovation and ingenuity thrive at Macquarie University when diversity, equity and inclusion take centre stage.
