HR Business Partners and Assistant Directors People and Culture The key elements of the advertised roles include:  Aligning organisational priorities and strategies and applying them to support Defence Groups and Services in delivering enterprise outcomes. Providing strategic advice to formulate effective people strategies and solutions aligned to enterprise objectives. Analysis and interpretation of workforce intelligence and associated research to inform innovative solutions on a range of workforce, People and culture issues. Engagement with key Senior Leaders to champion workforce, People and culture initiatives. Brokering and maintaining productive stakeholder relationships both internally and externally. Working collaboratively across organisational boundaries to identify improvement opportunities to implement organisational and/or cultural change. Delivering fit-for-purpose verbal and written advice to a number of audiences, including Senior Leaders and Government Officials on complex workforce, People and culture issues. Planning and leading the activities of a team, including the development and delivery of projects, strategies and initiatives to ensure the successful delivery of intended results. About our Team HR Business Partner: As a HR Business Partner in Defence, you will be a member of a small and diverse team that collaborates closely with a variety of stakeholders within the Defence People Group's centres of expertise. You will interact with senior leaders, provide strategic advice and influence outcomes that support Defence and Government priorities and business area objectives – with a focus on their people! Assistant Directors People and Culture: Culture is an integral element of the Defence Strategic Review (DSR) and by strengthening Defence's workforce through a positive workplace experience, we also promote recruitment and retention of the critical capabilities required to deliver the defence of the nation.  Assistant Directors within the People and Culture Branch have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting enterprise level strategies and initiatives linked to the DSR, which includes the Defence Culture Blue Print, First Nations, Diversity and Inclusion and Values and Workplace Behaviours. We are looking for experienced, passionate people to deliver outcomes directly aligned to Defence and Government People priorities, some of which include: Recruitment and Retention Intersectionality First Nations Our ideal candidates will have: Experience in human resources, culture and inclusion and/or project management; The ability to align strategic priorities to business activity and achieve these results in collaboration with key stakeholders; Highly developed analytical skills to interpret workforce intelligence to develop and apply innovative solutions to complex People issues; and  The ability to deliver credible verbal and written advice to a number of audiences, including Senior Leaders on complex workforce, People and culture issues.
