About the role As an HR Business Partner (Workforce Transition), you will support both academic and professional units across the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia as they transition to the new Adelaide University structure. In this role, you'll be instrumental in aligning teams with the new university's strategic direction, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure a coordinated, collaborative transition. Your strong interpersonal and negotiation skills will allow you to address staff concerns, foster a commitment to shared goals, and create a smooth, productive transition process that supports employee engagement and operational continuity.
Core Responsibilities Partnering with leaders and staff, offer expert guidance to align teams with the new workforce structure, ensuring each step of the transformation journey follows a people-centred approach.Build and maintain productive relationships across departments, ensuring clear, consistent communication and support throughout the transition.Provide tailored support to teams, addressing specific needs and challenges to facilitate a positive transition experience.Conduct workforce modelling and team design, developing organisational charts that reflect the new structure with clarity and alignment to strategic goals.Oversee the development and evaluation of position descriptions, coordinate remuneration adjustments, and manage employment contracts for transitioning staff.Essential Skills and Experience Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, Workforce Planning, or in a similar role.Experience in supporting workforce transitions and organisational change.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and use data effectively.High-level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including negotiation skills, and the ability to relate to a broad cross-section of people.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.Highly developed organisational and project management skills and experience in managing multiple priorities, projects, and resources within tight timelines.About the new Adelaide University The University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide are working together to create a new Adelaide University that will make transformational investments in teaching, learning, research, and innovation at scale for South Australia and beyond.
