Our customers, which include some of the most respected brands in the food industry, rely on our expertise and commitment to safety in order to deliver on their commitments.What You'll DoAmericold is seeking an experienced Human Resource Business Partner, QLD, to fill a 12-month Maternity Contract commencing in the New Year.As the human resources business partner, you will be a strategic partner who supports operations and functions by providing expert guidance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to improve work relationships, increase productivity and foster engagement whilst ensuring compliance with policies and best practices. You will achieve this by:Managing the day-to-day HR operational matters for their assigned coverage.Partnering with General Manager(s) and Operations Manager(s), together with the HR Team, to design, develop and implement the people plan in line with the overall Business and Operations strategies.Coaching and mentoring line managers to ensure that they have the skills necessary to manage their people best.Providing direction in implementing ways to strengthen employee engagement within the business.Acting as a point of contact for employees regarding HR issues, offering guidance and conflict resolution support.Conducting investigations and handling employee grievances in line with Company policy as appropriate legislation.Working with managers to address underperformance and support coaching, mentoring and development opportunities.Assisting with relevant site Enterprise Bargaining / Collective Agreement negotiations.Collaborating with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment efforts.Supporting performance management programs to enhance employee growth and engagement. Where required, assisting with the creation of development plans and providing guidance on appropriate training.What Experience and Education You Need5+ years operational HR management experience.Tertiary qualifications in human resources or business desired but not essential.Experience with Oracle HRIS system (Desirable).Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to consult, influence and deliver HR solutions.Intermediate-advanced computer literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Able to travel to sites in Brisbane with some interstate travel required.Able to work onsite to support the operations teams.Experience working independently in an operational HR role.Ability to work in a cold/chiller environment due to the nature of the business.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals.Ability to reason, negotiate, instruct, persuade, or speak with others.Ability to pay close attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills and judgment in communicating with staff.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to solve complex problems.Must have a very strong customer service orientation with a high sense of urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.Physical RequirementsRequires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions.Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending.Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work.Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks.May require travel by automobile and aeroplane for business.May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
