Where the team fits in
As a HR Business Partner at REA group, no two days will ever be the same. You will be part of the HR Business Partner team, supporting senior leaders on a range of cyclical people initiatives and strategic projects, to help them scale their impact, whilst also building strong relationships to advise them on REA's policies and practices, including performance management and coaching/development.
You'll be a champion of REA's culture and values, partnering with the Finance & Business Services Group (FaBS as we like to call them) and our Mortgage Choice Financial Services business.
What the role is all about Building strong relationships and being seen as a trusted partner working with the Executive Manager of People, wider P&C team, managers and employees. Initiating creative solutions to build leadership capability and growth for the teams you support. Utilising data and insights to support decision making, including but not limited to talent retention and development to meet REA's future talent requirements. Acting as a champion and agent for change, ensuring all business changes are well considered, carefully planned and effectively implemented with a growth mindset at the forefront of delivery. Providing advice and coaching to managers on general employee relations issues through to formal investigations right across the employee lifecycle. Supporting the planning and rollout of cyclical activities across the group, such as the engagement survey, talent management process, the annual performance and development process, the salary and bonus review processes, and facilitate workshops where required. Working in partnership with the Head of People on key change initiatives such as org design activities or targeted engagement workshops. Being an absolute champion when it comes to harnessing uncertainty and autonomously offering strategies and solutions during times of crisis. Who we're looking for Someone who has been through the change process, who can lean on their extensive business partnering experience within a fast-paced environment. Someone who has supported a complex stakeholder group with differing demands. A passion for innovation and how your impact can help REA deliver exceptional people experiences. Previous experience facilitating workshops, offsites, team sessions covering the employee lifecycle experiences – induction, engagement debriefs and action planning, how to set OKRs, team effectiveness etc. Demonstrated experience gathering requirements from leaders, designing and developing end to end leadership capability and bespoke solutions for team offsites. A solid understanding and track record of relevant Australian employment laws and casework. Excellent communicator, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence key decision makers across the organisation. Someone who thinks critically with great problem-solving skills. A team player, who sees the value in collaboration and can work at pace to deliver high quality work.
