You'll report directly to our HR Manager, who is dedicated to driving team success and fostering your professional growth. Role Overview: The primary purpose of the Human Resources Business Partner is to serve as a key point of contact for UNSW College managers and staff providing advice across a range of human resources matters with a focus on building capability within UNSW College Academic Managers.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Act as a key point of contact for UNSW College managers and staff to provide advice and coaching on a range of human resources matters with a best practice mentality.Partner with managers to understand the various people strategies across the business, align this approach with the UNSW College strategic priorities and deliver on this strategy at a team level.Research, understand, interpret relevant IR/workforce legislation and HR policy and provide advice to managers and the HR team accordingly to ensure compliance and mitigate risks for UNSW College and its employees.Provide advice and coaching to managers to enhance the performance and capability of their teams and to address a range of workforce issues, responding to enquiries in a professional and timely way. Build the capability of the UNSW College Academic managers to adopt a best practice approach to HR.What we're looking for include (but are not limited to): A degree in human resources management, psychology, or equivalent.7 years' experience in a human resources equivalent role, a solid understanding of IR/ER matters and demonstrated business partnering skills.Demonstrated understanding and application of industrial legislation, agreements/instruments, policies and procedures and the ability to effectively translate this to staff.Demonstrated experience in running a range of Employment Relations matters from start to finish, including but not limited to investigations, performance management, and conduct-related matters.Some of our Benefits: Fitness Passport – heavily discounted gym membershipsSalary packaging options3 gifted days of (paid) leave for end of year called 'University Holiday'Interested candidates should provide the following to be considered for this position:
